Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days after payment confirmation. During this time, we carefully package your fire-roasted green chile to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Each order is individually prepared with fresh ice packs and our specialized insulated packaging.

Orders placed on Friday after 12:00 PM MST, or over the weekend, will be processed on the following Monday. We do not ship orders on Fridays or Saturdays to prevent packages from sitting in warm warehouses or delivery trucks over the weekend, which could compromise product quality.

During peak seasons (holiday periods, chile roasting season in late summer/fall), processing times may extend to 3-4 business days due to high order volume. We will notify you via email if your order will experience any significant delays beyond our standard processing time.

Delivery Coverage Area

We Ship To

  • Continental United States (48 states)
  • Residential addresses
  • Business addresses
  • PO Boxes (standard shipping only)

We Cannot Ship To

  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • US Territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, etc.)
  • International destinations

Due to the extended transit times required for Alaska, Hawaii, and international shipping, we cannot guarantee our frozen products will arrive in acceptable condition. The longer a package is in transit, the greater the risk of thawing, even with our premium insulated packaging.

Cold-Chain Packaging

Keeping your green chile frozen during transit is our top priority. Every shipment includes professional-grade packaging designed specifically for frozen food products. Our cold-chain packaging system has been tested and refined to maintain safe temperatures for the duration of transit, even during summer months.

Insulated Liner

Thick foam insulation surrounds your product, creating a thermal barrier against external temperatures.

Gel Ice Packs

Multiple frozen gel packs keep your chile at safe temperatures throughout the shipping journey.

Vacuum-Sealed Bags

Each portion of chile is vacuum-sealed to lock in freshness and prevent freezer burn.

Sturdy Outer Box

Heavy-duty corrugated cardboard protects against impacts and compression during handling.

Weather & Seasonal Considerations

Extreme Heat Delays

During periods of extreme heat (temperatures exceeding 95°F at your delivery location or along the shipping route), we may delay shipment until conditions improve. This is to protect your order from thawing during transit. We will notify you by email if a heat delay affects your order and provide an updated estimated ship date.

Winter Weather

Winter weather typically does not cause issues for our frozen products. However, severe storms that disrupt carrier operations may cause delays. In these cases, your tracking information will reflect the delay, and we recommend monitoring your tracking closely during severe weather events.

Holiday Shipping Schedules

We observe major holidays and adjust our shipping schedule accordingly. Orders placed around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's may experience extended processing times. We recommend ordering at least two weeks in advance if you need chile for a holiday meal.

When Your Package Arrives

Please retrieve your package as soon as possible after delivery. Our packaging is designed to keep products frozen for the expected transit time, plus a reasonable buffer. However, leaving a package in the sun or in a warm location for extended periods after delivery may result in thawing.

If Your Chile is Still Frozen

Place it directly in your freezer. The chile can be stored frozen for up to 12 months. Once thawed, use within 5-7 days and store in the refrigerator.

If Your Chile is Partially Thawed

This is normal and safe. If the product is still cold and ice crystals remain, you can refreeze it. There may be slight texture changes, but the flavor and safety will not be affected.

If Your Chile is Fully Thawed and Warm

Contact us immediately at orders@chilebeast.com. Do not consume the product. This situation is rare but qualifies for our refund or replacement policy.

Order Tracking

Once your order ships, you will receive an email with tracking information. We ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx depending on your location and the shipping speed selected. You can track your package using the tracking number provided.

We recommend signing up for delivery notifications through the carrier's website or app. This allows you to know exactly when your package will arrive so you can retrieve it promptly. Many carriers also offer options to redirect packages or require a signature if you will not be home at the expected delivery time.

Questions About Shipping?
